Issues 2, 3 and 5-52 (January-December, 1948), bound together. 50 issues of the photo-illustrated weekly supplement to the Histadrut newspaper "Davar". The issues review central events in the history of the Jewish Yishuv: The Declaration of Independence and the 1948 War, illegal immigration and settlement, alongside articles about cultural and art events, entertainment and humor sections and world news items. Featured photographers include Boris Carmi, Zoltan Kluger, Fred Chesnik, Beno Rothenberg and others. The volume includes issue no. 21, from May 20th 1948 – the first issue published after Israel's Declaration of Independence, featuring photographs from the ceremony of the Declaration of Independence, a quote from the Scroll of Independence and articles about the declaration.
