Three paper items. The detention camps in Cyprus, the second half of the 1940s.
1. "Shurot HaMeginim" (The Defenders' Lines) membership card, Cyprus, [ca. 1946-1948].
A typewritten card, with Hebrew stamps - "The Defenders' Lines [a secret organization of the "Haganah" at the detention camps in Cyprus).
8X8.5 cm. Fair-good condition. A few stains and creases. Professionally restored blemishes.
2. "Membership Notebook" card of Mapai from the camps of the illegal immigrants in Cyprus, [Cyprus], 1948. Hebrew and Yiddish.
A temporary card issued for the illegal immigrants of SS "Kibutz Galuyot" at the detention camp in Cyprus. On the margins of the certificate, it was written that "This certificate is valid only in Cyprus. When the member arrives in Palestine, this certificate will be replaced by a membership notebook" (Hebrew).
13 cm. Fair-good condition. Creases and wear.
3. Programme of a show of "The artists of Palestine in the camps of Cyprus" (Hebrew) issued by "The Committee for the Exiles of Cyprus". [Cyprus], [September-October 1947]. Hebrew and Yiddish.
