Wimple [sash for the Torah, made of a diaper of a baby in his circumcision, according to the custom of Ashkenazi Jews]. With the writing: "Klonimus son of Ya'akov…". [Germany], 1911.
The text is in green and red with golden decorations. Vegetal and floral illustrations, a butterfly, a berries bush, a Torah, canopy and Maggen-David. One of the letters "ל" is in the shape of a stork's head. Under the baby's name appears the artist's(?) name in German: Karl Ernest Haÿum.
280X21cm. Good condition. Few stains, folding marks.
