Large cypress motif Kerman-style rug, made at the Marbadiah/Bezalel workshop. [Jerusalem, 1920s].
Wool knot-pile; cotton foundation.
The central panel features cypresses on a backdrop of dense foliage. Triple border, the central of which depicts a repetitive cypress-and foliage pattern.
199X251 cm. Good condition. Edges missing and restored. Cropped fringes. Some unraveling to edges. Some wear to surface.
