30 postcards, including advertising postcards and photographic postcards, depicting hotels in Tiberias and its surroundings. Various publishers; most postcards are from ca. early 20th century to the 1940s.
Among the postcards: • Advertising postcard for the Tiberias Hotel and postcards with photographs of the hotel which was founded during the late 19th century by Richard Grossmann and was the largest and most advanced hotel in the Galilee. Among them: an undivided postcard published by R. Grossmann (Tiberias); a postcard that was handed out to tourists, with words and musical notes of the "Song of Galilee" meant to be sung on the shore of the Sea of Galilee (the name of a tourist and the date – October 1920 – were added by hand); and a photographic postcard published by the Eliyahu Brothers. • Postcards depicting The Elisabetha Haven of Rest and Auditorium. • A photographic postcard depicting the dining room of hotel Majestic. Stamped on verso: "Miss Karimeh Abbud, Photographer Nazareth". • Postcards depicting the Dafna, Guberman, Astoria and Europa hotels. • Postcards depicting the German hospice in Tabgha (Ein-Sheva, north-west of the Sea of Galilee). • And more.
9X14 cm on average. Condition varies. Minor stains and blemishes. Some of them were sent by mail.
