Opening: $200
Unsold
13 photographs, presumably taken by an English tourist who visited Palestine in 1927.
The photographs depict children at the "Children's Village" (Balfouria / Givat HaMoreh), pioneers in Degania Alef, pioneers in Petach Tikvah, the policeman Ataria [Abraham] from Tel-Aviv, an Ashkenazi child in Jerusalem, a street in Rosh Pina, school children in Yesud HaMa'alah, the sculpture "The Galilee and Its Watchwomen" by Yaacov Dov Gordon (Tel-Chai), and more.
Captioned by hand on recto, in Hebrew (the name "Cohen" – perhaps the photographer's name – appears on some); two are captioned on verso as well, in English (one photograph is dated).
