24 photographs depicting guards, ghaffirs (watchmen) and policemen of the Palestine Police. [1920s to 1940s].
Including: a group photograph at the Palestine Police school (captioned on verso: "School for Policemen, May-August 1935), photographs and Real Photo postcards documenting a roll-call of ghaffirs in Tiberius, Jewish policemen raising the flag of Israel, a Jewish policeman riding a horse, an armed guard in the Hadera Forest (1922), a parade of the "Civil Guard", and more. Enclosed is a photograph of soldiers, presumably from the War of Independence.
