Archive 86, musical compositions for prayers, choirs and cantors, 1876-1975. Hebrew, Yiddish and English.
The collection includes compositions by Zavel Zilberts and other producers.
Zilberts, born in Belarus, was a composer and cantor; composed in Moscow and in the U.S.A. The collection includes musical compositions by him for the various festivals as well as for concerts in which he participated, and Chassidic melodies.
In addition, the collection includes:
~Handwritten booklet, "Avodat HaKodesh", which includes prayers and blessings of "Mi SheBerach", written by Joachim Kurantman, accompanied with detailed explanations in Yiddish. Manuscript, 1900.
~Folder which contains compositions for cantors and folk songs.
