Short stories by Hava Shapira (1878-1943), writer, critic and publicist, of the pioneer Hebrew female writers (great-granddaughter of R' Pinchas of Koritz and granddaughter of the printer R' Moshe Shapira of Slawita). Died in Theresienstadt Ghetto. Shapira writes at the beginning of the book: "Our literature misses the participation of the second half of humanity: the weak gender. While entering this foreign circle I hope that many of my gender will follow. As long as women will not take part, our literature will be lacking". 63 pp, 18.5 cm. Good condition. Ink stamps. Stains. New, fine, cardboard binding.
