Short stories by Hava Shapira (1878-1943), writer, critic and publicist, of the pioneer Hebrew female writers (great-granddaughter of R' Pinchas of Koritz and granddaughter of the printer R' Moshe Shapira of Slawita). Died in Theresienstadt Ghetto. Shapira writes at the beginning of the book: "Our literature misses the participation of the second half of humanity: the weak gender. While entering this foreign circle I hope that many of my gender will follow. As long as women will not take part, our literature will be lacking". 63 pp, 18.5 cm. Good condition. Ink stamps. Stains.
