Birkat David, Chassidic interpretations on Chumash Bereshit, by the Admor Rabbi Avraham David Av Beit Din of Buchach. [Lemberg, 1805? 1800?]. First edition.
“Authored by the great and famous Gaon, well versed in the exoteric and the esoteric… Rabbi Avraham David, ABD of Buchach”.
Rabbi Avraham David Wahrman (1771 -1841) was rabbi of Joslowitz and Buchach. Among the prominent Poskim and Hassidic leaders. Disciple of Rabbi Meshulam Igra and the Maggid of Nadvorna. He was a beloved friend of the author of "Sidduro shel Shabbat", and disciple of Rabbi Levi Yitzhak of Berdichev in matters of Hassidut and Kabbalah.
The year appearing on the title page is 1800 while the Hebrew year states the book was printed in 1805, [the book was probably printed in Lvov in 1845, and the two other dates were forged for censorship reasons – see Avraham Ya’ari, Kiryat Sefer 17, page 107, No. 43).
