Biographical questionnaire, signed by Rabbi Yehoshua Twersky. “Brit Rishonim”, Tel Aviv, Eretz Israel, 1938.
Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel Twersky (1888-1966) was the son of the Skverer Admor Rabbi Moshe Dan from Skvira, and the son in law of the Admor Rabbi Mordechai of Kratie. Served as Rabbi and immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1935.
Filled in his handwriting, [with details] about his activity at the “Ha-Mizrahi” movement from 1903 and on.
“I am the Founder of the Hovevei Zion movement in Skvira and when I moved to Kratie I became the president of the local Zionistic Histadrut. I have worked a great deal for the advancement of the Zionistic cause as well as the Hebrew language, I kept working for the public even under the Soviet Regime… I was one of the delegates who participated in the First Congress in Kiev…”.
