Fifteen letters from Binyamin Tene (Tenenboim) to the editor and critic Gabriel Talphir, 1934-1944.
Binyamin Tene (1914-1999) – author, poet, translator, editor and writer for children (editor of "Mishmar LeYeladim" journal for 32 years). Born in Warsaw, member of "HaShomer HaTza'ir" and in 1937, one of the establishers of Kibbutz Eilon in the Western Galilee. Some of the letters are very long and written in the early days of Tene's literary career (sent from Warsaw in 1935-36). Tene expresses his conflicts regarding his poetic route and the quality of his creation, includes sections of poems and complete poems, addressed to the experienced editor Talphir who, as understood from the letters, was kind of a literary patron of young Teneboim.
