This is the first book published by A. B. Cerata and the first book in the "Shir Kalektsie" series, a series named after Benn's father, Shlomo Ya'akov Rabinowicz, who perished in the Białystok Ghetto. Limited edition of 360 copies.
Benn (Bencjon Rabinowicz) was born in Białystok in 1905. In 1930 he moved to Paris, where he was interned during the Nazi occupation. He was eventually released following the intervention of influential friends. Following his release, Benn went into hiding, together with his wife, for over two years. During this time, he created the series of illustrations in this book.
