Manuscript, Bechinat HaKabbala, contains two works: Kol Sachal and Sha'agat Aryeh, by Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh of Modena, with Part Two "Bechinat HaKabbala", containing research and comments on these books, by the publisher Yashar [Yitzchak Shlomo Rigio]. According to this manuscript, the book was printed in Gorizia in 1852. Possibly, it is in Yashar's handwriting. (Differs slightly from printed version).
Yitzchak Shlomo Rigio - Yashar of Gorizia (1784-1855), one of the first Italian maskilim and a head of the "Chachmat Yisrael" movement. Founded the Beit Midrash L'Rabbanim in Padova, headed by his friend Shadal.
Approx. 170 leaves. 16 cm. Good condition, few stains.
