Volume of several tractates from Order Kodashim, from the first complete edition of the Babylonian Talmud printed in Venice by Bomberg. Prototype for all subsequent Talmud editions.
Incomplete and damaged copy. Tractate Keritot: 11, 14-28 leaves. Lacking two leaves: 12-13. Tractates Me'ilah, Kinnim, Middot, Tamid and minor tractates: 3-22, 24-40 leaves. Lacking 10 leaves: title page, leaves 2 and 23, and leaves 41-47 (lacking most of the minor tractates; only tractate Semachot is present, though lacking end). Rabbenu Asher on Halachot Ketanot: 2-15 leaves. Lacking title page. Tractate Temurah: 3-32 leaves. Lacking 4 leaves: title page and leaves 2, 33 and 34. 32.5 cm. Fair-poor condition. Stains and significant traces of dampness, with mold stains. Many open tears, affecting text, repaired with paper. Significant worming, with extensive damage to text. Handwritten inscriptions. Old binding, damaged and worn, with leather spine.
