Rebbe Yitzchak Eizik Yehuda Yechiel Safrin Rabbi of Zidichov and Komarno (1806-1874), a G-dly kabbalist and leading transmitter of the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov. His books, in particular the Heichal HaBerachah commentary, are considered classic Chassidic works cherished by prominent Chassidic leaders.
On title page, signature of R. Avraham Yosef Klein (1827-1904), dayan and shochet in Hodod, who immigrated to Eretz Israel at the end of his life. Inscriptions in several places.

Five Books of the Torah, with Targum Onkelos and various commentaries, and with the Heichal HaBerachah and Otzar HaChaim commentaries, by Rebbe Yitzchak Eizik Yehuda Yechiel Safrin, rabbi of Zidichov and Komarno. Lviv: Pessel Balaban, [1866-1874]. First edition printed in the lifetime of the author, over the course of approximately ten years. Four of five volumes (without Bamidbar volume).
This Chumash contains two original works by the author: The Heichal HaBerachah commentary – commentary based on Kabbalistic and Chassidic teachings regarding Masorah, exact spelling of words and spacing between sections; and the Otzar HaChaim commentary on the 613 mitzvot as found in the Torah portions, Kabbalistic and Chassidic commentary explaining which mitzvah is alluded to in each letter of the Ten Commandments. Both compositions are based on the principles of the Arizal and Baal Shem Tov.
The Heichal HaBerachah chumashim by R. Yitzchak Eizik of Komarno are classic works of Kabbalistic and Chassidic thought, favored by rebbes of all circles.
The author describes in a letter the segulah qualities of the book, promising "…I am confident that anyone who has our Chumash in his home will be spared from any misfortune and harm, illness and want, and his home will be filled with G-d's blessing and all good, success, wealth and longevity for him and his offspring… children, life and sustenance, benevolence and mercy, favorable judgement, for a long life".

Be'er Moshe, Chassidic essays on the Torah portions, by Rebbe Moshe Elyakim Beri'a Hopstein of Kozhnitz. [Lviv, 1858]. First edition.
The author, Rebbe Moshe Elyakim Beri'a (1757?-1828), was a close disciple of his father, the Maggid of Kozhnitz, and of R. Zusha of Anipoli. In this book, as well as in his other works, he quotes extensively thoughts and traditions which he received from his father and other prominent Chassidic leaders.

The Yismach Moshe series was prepared for print by the author's grandson and close disciple, Rebbe Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum Rabbi of Sighet, author of Yitav Lev, and his glosses and additions, introduced with the words "so said the editor", are included in several places. A brief foreword by the Yitav Lev was printed at the beginning of the Bereshit volume.
The author, R. Moshe Teitelbaum Rabbi of Ujhel (1759-1841), was the progenitor of the Sighet and Satmar dynasties, as well as other prominent Chassidic dynasties.

The book bears approbations of great Chassidic leaders, including the only approbation to a book ever issued by the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch. Another approbation, by R. Mordechai of Chernobyl (the Maggid of Chernobyl), extols the segulah and protective qualities of the book: "Every person should purchase this holy book for merit and excellent protection for himself and his descendants". His holy sons – R. Aharon of Chernobyl, R. Avraham of Trisk (Turiisk) and R. David of Tolna – also mention in their approbations the segulah for protection that their father described. In the publisher's foreword, the author's grandson likewise cites the protective qualities of the book.
