Hanukkah lamp. [Morocco-Israel, first half of the 20th century].
Cast, embossed and engraved brass.
The shape of the back plate is reminiscent of Marrakesh Hanukkah lamps (mostly made of sheet brass) from the 19th and 20th centuries, and of Dutch Hanukkah lamps of the 18th and 19th centuries, but the lamp may have been produced in Eretz Israel.
Back plate decorated with vegetal motifs. In the center is the shamash, surmounting a medallion with the Hebrew inscription "These lights are holy".
Length: 23 cm, width: 19.5 cm. The oil fonts and shamash are soldered onto the lamp.
See next item (apparently, both lamps were made by the same artist).

Memorial candle - bowl used for lighting. [Probably Egypt, first decades of the 20th century].
Repoussé, engraved and stamped copper.
Large, deep bowl, apparently intended for lighting a memorial candle. The bowl's sides are decorated with vegetal motifs, with a hammered Hebrew dedication: "Louisa Fasi, may her candle always burn". The bottom of the bowl is decorated with four large fowl and impressive floral decorations (judging by the quality of the decorations, the bowl was probably intended for suspension from the ceiling).
Rim diameter: 19.5 cm, height: 7.5 cm. Light fissures. Some corrosion.
