Five decorated paper cards with adages in Hebrew and in Yiddish. [Europe, 1845-1856].
Decorated elliptic frames in various colors printed on high-quality thick paper cards. Various adages and their Yiddish translation were added by hand (in square writing and in cursive Ashkenazi writing).
On four card are verses with gematriyot of the years: 1845, 1848 and 1855.
We can only conjecture the purpose of the cards. Perhaps they were made for children since the words used to convey the years are related to youth.
8.5X10.5 cm. Good condition. Stains.
