Printed and sold in weekly booklets to finance printing costs [see Bibliography Institute CD Listing 0182290]. This is the first volume of the series, including the Five Books of Torah. Printed in the two following volumes are the Nevi'im and Ketuvim.
Owners' inscriptions and glosses in Oriental handwriting, most regarding grammar [the writer notes the differences between the printed version and the manuscripts] and marking the haftarot.
[6], 228 leaves. 42 cm. Fair-good condition, stains and wear. Moisture and mildew stains, restored tears on title leaf and last leaf. Rebound.

[In 1804 the first volume was reprinted in same place, under name Chamisha Chumshei Torah… with Chomat Anach Commentary”, and contained a regular title page similar to the other volumes. This book is the original first section of the first edition].
