Taj, manuscript - Pentateuch with Aramaic translation. Full copy from Bereshit to Devarim. [Yemen, 18-19th Century].
This manuscript was owned and used by holy Mekubal Rabbi Mordechai Shar'abi (born in Yemen in 1912, passed away in Jerusalem in 1982) headed the"Nahar Shalom" Kabbalistic Yeshiva of Jerusalem. After his passing, the building of the"Or Ha-Chaim" Yeshiva headed by his disciple Rabbi Elbaz was dedicated to his memory and sold to benefactors.
Enclosed: dedication letter of the"Or Israel" institutions named after Rabbi Shar'abi for the benefit of the"Or Ha-Chaim" Yeshiva.
[The book's origin was also confirmed by the oral testimony of Gaon Rabbi Reuven Elbaz, head of the"Or Ha-Chaim" Yeshiva].
