A "Souvenir from Cyprus" album, in a stone binding, made by detainees at the internment camps in Cyprus. [late 1940s].
On the front binding is a decoration showing Rachel's Tomb. The first page of the album is illustrated by hand. At the top is an inscription reading "Souvenir from Cyprus" in Hebrew, beneath which is a map of the island. On the right is an illustration of a ship at sea; on the left are illustrations of a tent, a barbed-wire fence and a guard tower. The rest of the album leaves are blank.
10.5X18 cm. Good condition. Fractures, cracks and rubbing to stone binding. Stains to album leaves.
