Rabbi Gavriel Ze'ev Margaliot (1847-1934, Otzar Harabanim 4305) son-in-law of Rabbi Nachumke of Horodna. One of the great Darshanim in his generation and one of the great Rabbis in the United States. In 1923 he established an independent association of rabbis by the name "Knesset of the Orthodox Rabbis".
