Poems handwritten by Abba Kovner, winner of the Israel Prize, from his book "El". 1980-1981.
With the poet's dedication: "for Simcha whose heart is wider than his belly, with friendship, Abba" and a comment in his handwriting: "donated to the Teletrom Campaign 5.4.81 by the author, Abba Kovner".
The receiver – Simcha Holzberg (1924-1994) – participated in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, acted to perpetuate the memory of the holocaust and after the Six Day War devoted his time to assist injured IDF soldiers, handicapped, widows and orphans and was named "Father of the Injured" and won the Israel Prize for his special contribution to society and to the State of Israel.
Presented here are 49 pages handwritten by Abba Kovner, including the poem anthology "El" which was published by "HaKibbutz HaMeuchad" in 1980.
28 cm, in a plastic folder (signed). Good condition, handwritten corrections by the poet, with a different pen.
