100 Karbovanets note of the Ukrainian People's Republic.
This note was printed in 1917, with the establishment of the Ukrainian People's Republic. It was designed by the Ukrainian artist Heorhii Narbut. The back of the note is printed in Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, and Yiddish, with the Yiddish inscription "Hundert Kaunoventses". The fact that the note is printed in four languages is evidence of the positive attitude of the young republic to the minorities living in its midst. Upon its establishment, the republic granted full equal rights to Jews, and thus Yiddish began to appear on paper currency and on other official documents.
17X10.5 cm. Good condition.
