Seven catalogues of the Dorotheum Vienna Auction House. Vienna, 1938-1939.
Objects for sale include furniture, art, books and more. Following the title page appears the instruction, "Verbot der teilnahme von Juden an den versteigerungen des Dorotheums" - which prohibits Jews from participating in the auctions. Apparently, Home furnishings sold at the auctions belonged to Jews whose property was confiscated. 24.5 cm. Good condition. Stains on cover of one catalogue.
