Illustrated Ketubah recording the marriage of the couple Yehudah and Zuleicha, from Isfahan, Persia, in 5572 (1812).
Decorated with plants and animals, on paper. The Ketubah was non-professionally restored and is cut on one side. In the Ketubahs site, only one Ketubah precedes this one, of 1810.
[1] leaf, 66 cm. Poor condition. Stains. Creases. Restored tears and open tears. Lacking part of text. Rough adhesive tape surrounds the Ketubah.

Two advertisements for records with Hebrew songs by Simon Jacob [Kharilker], The "Zion" Record. India, [1930s]. Hebrew, Hebrew in Devanāgarī characters, English and Marathi.
Two advertisements for records with Piyyutim, a prayer in honor of the king and an unusual version of Hatikva sung by Shimon Jacob Kharilker. Shimon Jacob Kharilker (1900-1971) was a singer, teacher, author and printer in Bombay Jewish congregation. Immigrated to Israel in 1950 and later on moved to Los Angeles.
Size and condition vary. Folds, faded color. Good overall condition.

Sheet music for a cantor, with liturgies and prayers for all the holidays, written by hand. [Germany?].
Sheet music, handwritten, for a cantor. Sheet music with a Latin-German transcript of the pronounciation of words in Hebrew. Includes numerous versions and changed tunes, as well as several titles in stylized Hebrew script. On a detached leaf at the end appears a monogram: MM (probably the cantor's signature).
Approx. 24.5 cm. Fair condition. Loose and detached leaves. Stains, tears and creases. Bound in a binding of a different book (most probably that it was originally bound like this).

Series of about 60 vowelized and illustrated booklets of 16-20 pages, most of them contain adaptations of folk tales (mostly with no mention of name of writer). The main adapter and translator of tens of booklets was Eliyahu Haim Chinich, until he immigrated to Mexico in 1922. Illustrations were created by Haim Goldberg (Hagai) who illustrated other books for Gitlin as well.
Offered here is a mostly complete set which was published in a second edition in 1936. (Lacking are booklets 21-22, 25-26, 33-34, 37-38, 43-44, 45-46, 47-48, 49-50, 53-54. Total of 9 booklets). 17 cm. Fair condition. Stains. Wear. Detached wrappers and leaves.

Includes illustrations which, most probably, were not printed in the final version of the book. On the color illustrations are sheets of drawing paper with instructions for the printer concerning colors. The book Tsitsi Pitsi was published in the 1960s by "Tapu'ach" as part of the series of books "LaTaf" educational library.
