1. Photograph of a soldier of the Arab Legion at an English base near Iraq, guarding the bombs of the "Royal Air Force". 1941.
2. Photograph of Kamel Arekat, the leader of the Jerusalemite organization "al-Futawa", raising the flag of the organization before a formation of fighters (ca. 1946-1947).
3. Photograph of a Syrian soldier of the Arab Liberation Army in the north of Palestine. 3.4.1948. Handwritten on verso of the photograph: "Photo Robert Capa".
4. Photograph of a soldier (presumably of the Arab Legion) sitting on ruins at the entrance to a house in Jerusalem. 14.7.1948.
5. Portrait photograph of a soldier wearing the uniform of the Arab Legion (date and place are not noted).
Writing and stamps on verso. Information note for the press is mounted on verso of one photograph.
Size and condition vary. Good overall condition. Minor blemishes. A small tear to the edge of one of them. Barcode sticker on verso of two of the photographs. One photograph has a newspaper clipping mounted on verso.

Press photograph of Egyptian pilots returning to their base after a raid on Jewish positions during the War of Independence. Palestine, May 1948.
The photograph shows eight pilots and soldiers, with a Spitfire of the Egyptian air force in the background.
On verso of the photograph, there is a press information note (English) dated, May 31, 1948, and beneath it, a stamp of the "Planet News Ltd" agency and a stamp with the date, June 1, 1948.
Approx. 20.5x15.5 cm. Good condition. Stains. Minor creases and blemishes.

Three postcards with group photographs of Jews:
1. "Jedenelend" [Jewish Suffering]. [Germany? ca. 1900-1901]. An undivided postcard depicting a photograph of a group of Romanian Jews around their friend's body, and their story (in German): the members of the group were arrested in the city of Jassy for loitering and were banished to the other side of the Turkish border; the Turkish refused to let them in and the soldiers of the Romanian border guard threw them in response into the Danube. The Turks drew them from the water, yet one of them drowned and another lost his mind.
On the upper part of the postcard, a quote by Petre Carp, the Romanian Prime Mister in the early 20th century, who supported equal rights for Jews: "We live in an era in which we can no longer throw Jews into the water".
2. "Russian Mizrachi Members - Russische Misrahi-Gruppe". Vienna: "Zion", [ca. 1902]. An undivided postcard depicting a group photograph of the participants of the Founding Conference of "HaMizrachi" Movement in Vilnius. Rabbi Yitzchak Ya'akov Reines is seen in the center.
3. "The 'Magen David' gymnasium and elementary school of Chisinau". Chisinau, Lag BaOmer 1922. A photographed postcard with a group photograph of the students of the gymnasium and school of the Haredi community of Chisinau. On verso of the postcard appears the stamp of the school.
Approx. 14x9 cm. Good overall condition. A few blemishes and stains, mainly on postcard no. 3.
The verso of the postcards is printed upside down.
