On the title page owner's writing "…Feivel Ploit of Kalin" and another owner's writing. Owners' writing also on last page.
Rabbi Chizkiya Feivel Ploit, Av Beit Din of Shoran, (1818-1895) was born in Kalin. Among the close disciples of the Chatam Sofer. Author of Likutei Chaver ben Chaim – 11 parts, wherein he often brings the Torah he learned from his Rabbi. (See, The Chatam Sofer and his Disciples, pages 132-135).
Printing with vowels, the translation Tzofnat Pa'aneach to German-Yiddish printed in Tze'ina Ur'eina letters.
8, 7-8, 11-12, 14-15,15-20, 23-24, 23-24, 27-40, 43-45 leaves, 22cm. Good condition, moth-damages, some restored. New binding.
