Hanukkah lamp. [Morocco-Israel, first half of the 20th century].
Cast, embossed and engraved brass.
The back plate is shaped as a dome supported by a pair of columns, with engraved decorations in vegetal motifs. Engraved at the top of the plate is the inscription "These lights are holy" (Hebrew). Beneath the inscription is a large crown surmounting the Tablets of the Law. The shamash is placed above the tablets.
Length: 21 cm, width: 18.5 cm. The oil fonts and shamash are soldered onto the lamp.
