The Derech Yeshara siddur was first published in 1697 in Frankfurt am Main. It gained great popularity, and was reprinted in several editions. This is the fourth edition of the siddur, with many additional prayers and laws.
A handwritten leaf was bound at the end of the siddur, with a prayer for a drought, and an inscription dated 1795. In another inscription on this leaf, dated 1813, the writer pledges not to play cards for ten years.
[417] leaves. 20 cm. Condition varies. Overall fair-good condition. Stains (including dark stains), tears and wear. Open tears to some leaves, with significant damage to text (lacking lower half of LaMenatze'ach Menorah on p. 68b). Tears repaired in part (nonprofessional repair). Worming. Margins of most leaves trimmed, with damage to headings, leaf numerals and occasionally text at bottom of page. Old binding, without spine, damaged. Book split, some gatherings loose.
