Poster on behalf of "Hevra Kadisha", Jerusalem, [1930?].
A poster notifying the members of Hevra Kadisha about a eulogy and memorial for victims of the riots [1929?] on Thursday, 6 Adar in "Menachem Zion" synagogue in the Old City. Hevra Kadisha members fast on Adar 7, date of birth and death of Moses, as a symbol of mourning for those whose burial place is unknown and as penance for possible lack of respect for the dead during burial.

Certificate of graduation from the first year of "Zebulun" Seafaring Society. "Jewish society for development of fishing and seafaring among pioneers and immigrants to Eretz Israel" (Hebrew). Gdynia, 1935. A printed certificate with typewritten details of the graduating student and his photograph. German.
"Zebulun", a center for marine training of "HeChalutz" movement in Poland, was founded in 1935 in Gdynia, a town on the shore of Danzig bay. The trainees were members of youth movements from all across Poland.

A fine certificate in color, decorations in metallic ink, text in scribal script: "This certificate is awarded to the Elhanan Leib Lewinsky Teacher's Seminary for their dedicated contribution during the thirty "Totzeret HaAretz" Days. Tel Aviv, 1936" (Hebrew). Signed in a wax-seal shapes illustration inscribed "National committee of Knesset Israel in Eretz Israel, center for Totzeret HaAretz" (Hebrew).
Approx. 50X35 cm. Fair-good condition. Foxing, creases, many restored tears. Mounted on thin, acid-free paper. Pencil inscription on the reverse.

"Diskin Orphanage", Jerusalem, [1930s]. Hebrew and English.
Informational booklet about Diskin orphanage, with photographs of Jerusalem views and the orphanage.
The orphanage was founded in 1881 by Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Leib Diskin. The institute was for boys only. Rabbi Diskin started by lodging the boys in his home and later, when there was not enough space, he rented for them buildings in the Old City. The orphanage moved to its present building in 1927.

Yair's calling card, documents with revenue stamps. Naturalization certificate issued by the state of Uruguay, promissory bills on behalf of Anglo-Palestine Bank, business permit according to the Crafts and Industries Ordinance, transit permit issued by the military commander of the Galilee and other documents. The documents imply that the merchant relocated to Eretz Israel from Uruguay in the 1930s and settled in Safed.
