Ausstellung der Producte Jüdischer Dörfer in Palästina, an undivided postcard – souvenir from the pavilion exhibiting products of the Jewish settlements in Palestine at the Great Industrial Exposition of Berlin, 1896.
A photograph of Binyamin St. in the colony of Rechovot and the caption "Gruss aus Palästina" [souvenir from Palestine].
The Industrial Exposition of Berlin (Berliner Gewerbeausstellung) was held in Treptower Park in Berlin during May-October 1896.

1. "Gruss aus Jerusalem" [Souvenir from Jerusalem], postcard with illustrations of sites in Jerusalem. Sent from Jerusalem to Berlin. On its front, a handwritten greeting (German), presumably by Heinrich Loewe.
2. "May you be written and sealed for a good year, greeting of Zion" (Hebrew), postcard with photographs of the colonies Gedera, Rechovot and Rishon LeZion. Sent from Jerusalem to Germany in 1898.

12 postcards documenting the train in Palestine during the late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. Various publishers, places and times of printing, [late 19th century to ca. 1920s].
Including postcards depicting the stations of Haifa, Ramla, Jaffa and Jerusalem, the Ottoman railroad, and more. One postcard is undivided (an early Dutch postcard, depicting, alongside the train station of Jerusalem, the neighborhood of Mishkenot Sha'ananim under the title Jodenkolonie 'Sir Montefiore').
9X14 cm. Good overall condition. Were not used, except for one.

41 postcards depicting views of Palestine. Jerusalem: Jamal Brothers, 1921.
29 of the postcards mention the photographer – "Published by S. Narinsky" (Hebrew) and 12 postcards (presumably from the same series) are without the photographer's name. Postcards include: "A Yemenite Jew chief in Jerusalem Examining his great-grandson", "A modern colony in Jaffa", "The mountains of Gilead behind the River Jordan", "A side view of Tiberias", "Between the orange gardens", "Threshing in Palestine", "The flourishing colony of Khideira near Haifa" and more.
Most of the postcards are captioned on verso in English, Hebrew and Arabic. A few are captioned only in English and Arabic. Many of the postcards appear in two copies – one in sepia and the other in blue monochrome.
Shlomo Narinsky (1885-1960), born in Russia, studied photography in Berlin. In 1905 he immigrated to Palestine and settled in Jerusalem. He worked as a photographer and opened a studio in Jerusalem. This pictorial series of postcards was published by Jamal Brothers when Narinsky was in exile in Egypt, to where he was deported during World War I due to his foreign nationality.

Postcard with an illustration by Ze'ev Raban depicting the American globe-trotter Hippolyte Martinet in Jerusalem. [Palestine?, ca. 1921-1922].
The globe-trotter Hippolyte Martinet left his house in Seattle on April 19, 1920, barefoot, with no headgear, in the hopes of circumnavigating the Earth. During his journey, he passed through New York and from there travelled to England, France (in Paris, he tried to sell postcards with his picture, but was banished by the police), Italy, Switzerland, Albania, Greece, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, India and China. He passed away in China in 1922.
The illustration on the postcard depicts Martinet in Jerusalem, on the backdrop on the Tower of David. On his chest hangs a sign: "H. Martinet, Globe Trotter". Printed at the bottom: "The sale of my p. card is my only means of livelihood en route" (in Hebrew, English and Arabic).
16X9 cm. Good condition. Creases to margins and a few stains. The postcard was not used. Stamp on verso.

Approx. 9.5X15 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and blemishes. Open tears to cover. The entire booklet has been professionally restored, with paper completions. No tissue guards.

Most of the postcards, published by "Phoenix", depict figures of Yemenite Jews in their country of origin and in Palestine. Two of the postcards, published by "Levanon", feature photographs taken by Ya'akov Ben-Dov. One of them depicts a Yemenite-Jerusalemite Jew selling milk and the second depicts Yemenite craftsmen of the Bezalel workshops.
Eight of the postcards are undivided.
