A game made of a wheel fixed onto a board by a clip. On the wheel appear the logo of "Tnuva" and dairy cows and through a slit in the wheel, one can see various products marketed by "Tnuva": milk products, eggs, fruit, vegetables, honey and ice-cream. The board is signed "Binah Gvirtz" (Hebrew).
The children's book illustrator Binah Gvirtz-Shteklis (1913-2008) was born in Poland, grew up in Germany and immigrated to Palestine in 1935. She illustrated more than 300 children's books, including "Atzu Ratzu Gamadim" by Miriam Yalan-Shteklis and "Al HaArnevet" by Chaim Nachman Bialik.
Approx. 26x29 cm. Good-fair condition. Worming. Small tears and minor blemishes to the edges of the board.

The illustrations are hand-signed by Gvirtz, and on most of them appear the title of the story as well as instructions for printing and a serial number (in the margins). In addition, on verso of several of the illustrations, there are lines from the stories, to be printed alongside the illustration.

Twenty original illustrations by Shmuel Katz, to the children's book "HeChacham Einav BeRosho" (The Wise has Eyes in His Head) by Yisrael Toporovsky. [Israel, ca. 1964].
Twenty ink sketches, 18 of them on paper and two (the illustrations for the cover of the book) on greaseproof paper. On the margins of most of the illustrations there are handwritten inscriptions (pencil) with printing instructions, pagination and the lines of text accompanying the illustrations.
The children's book "HeChacham Einav BeRosho: Legends, Jokes, Falsehoods and Fables" was published by "Machbarot LeSifrut" in 1964.
Shmuel Katz (1926-2010), a painter, illustrator, graphic designer and caricaturist, born in Vienna, survived the Holocaust, immigrated to Israel and settled in Kibbutz Ga'aton. Katz illustrated hundreds of books, and was especially known for illustrating the book "Dirah Lehaskir" (An Apartment for Rent) by Leah Goldberg and the Chasamba series by Yigal Mossinson. His works were displayed in many exhibitions, museums and galleries in Israel and abroad, and he was awarded prizes for his.

Tzila Binder (1919-1987) was an Israeli painter, writer and poet, who was known mainly as a children's books illustrator. She never formally studied painting; but rather acquired her artistic education as an auditor at Bezalel. In 1939, she met Nathan Alterman and the two had a long, continuous personal relationship. After her death, she left her complete estate to the "Alterman Institute".
Approx. 25.5x33 cm to 16.5x23 cm. Condition varies. Stains. Creases and blemishes.
