"Otzar Mifale Yam" company was founded in 1938 to construct the port of Tel-Aviv.

A share certificate book with 46 ordinary shares (no.51 to 100) of Otsar Hahayal Bank Ltd. Arieli printing press, Tel-Aviv, [1947].
"Otsar Hahayal" bank started as mutual aid funds put together by Jewish Brigade soldiers. After World War II, in November 1946, the veterans' representatives had decided to found "Otsar Hahayal" to assist discharged soldiers with loans and housing. Following the War of Independence the bank granted loans to IDF discharged soldiers.

About 450 checks, letters, forms, account books and other paper items, documenting the activity of the "Klinger Bank" in Safed. Safed, Tel-Aviv, Haifa, Tiberias and other places in Palestine, 1920s-40s. Hebrew and English.
The "Klinger Bank" was the second Jewish bank in Palestine. It was founded early in the 20th century by Yoel Barshad, Zvi Barzel and Eliyahu Klinger, and was one of the most important banks at the time. Among others, the bank granted loans to institutes and personalities of the Old Yishuv, issued bills when trade was prohibited during World War I, supported small banks and even survived a fire during the 1929 Riots. Late in the 1960s the bank was sold to "Bank Leumi".
This collection includes, among others:
* About 100 bank checks, printed, filled in by hand and signed with ink-stamps, issued by various banks in Palestine: "Barclays Bank", "Palestine Mercantile Bank Ltd.", "Ottoman Bank", "Palestine Kupat Am Bank", checks of "Klinger Bank" and more.

Two handwritten ledgers, documenting loans and other financial data related to the settlers in Palestine and its vinicity. [Palestine? early decades of the 20th century]. English and some Hebrew and Arabic.
* Ledger, apparently recording loans to settlers in Palestine. Each page is dedicated to one person. At the top of the page are his name and address (in English, and occasionally in Hebrew or Arabic) followed by a chart with details of the payments received (amounts and dates). Signed declarations which attest to receiving obligations appear on some pages. Most of the people whose names appear in the book resided in various neighborhoods of Jerusalem, and some dwelled in other cities (Bethlehem, Safed, etc.).
Approximately 230 written pages + blank leaves. 34 cm. Fair condition. Stains, creases and tears. Detached or loose leaves and signatures. Damaged and loose binding.
