1. Haggadat H'Atzma'ut, by Aharon Megged. The General Staff Publishing/Human Resources Wing – Propaganda Department, Tel Aviv, 1952.
A complete copy of Haggadat H'Atzma'ut, not stapled, uncut sheets, as they left the printing press.
2. Three sheets of Haggadat H'Atzma'ut cover (front and back cover, including first page and last page), of the printing process (all printing stages till the final cover can be seen).
Haggadat H'Atzma'ut by Aharon Megged, was written during the Author's army reserve service in the headquarter of the IDF-General Officer of Education and Culture, with the initiation of minister of Education, Ben-Zion Dinur. This haggadah was published in ten-thousand copies, which the soldiers were supposed to read on the night of independence day. The Religious Companies and the Military Rabbinate objected and the haggadahs were hidden and destroyed, excluding for few single copies.
21 cm. Good condition. Few foxing-stains.

Frontline, Issued by Sherut Tarbut / Gahal [recruitment abroad] I.D.F, 1948-1949.
10 consecutive issues starting 25.11.48 until 15.5.49. Many photographs of Gaha soldiers, war of independence and articles on literature and culture, with illustrations and photographs. English.
Gahal consisted of about 20,000 soldiers (about a quarter of the army), of Europe and North Africa who made Aliya to Israel and were drafted upon their arrival to join the fighting during the war of independence, during which many have lost their lives.
12-16 pages per issue, 30 cm. Very good condition except for a crease to lower right corner of one of the issues.

Israel Bar (1912- 1966) "Hagana" member. With the establishment of I.D.F was appointed as one of the two assistants of the head of Operations Wing and deputy of the chief of general staff, served as head of planning department of the operations wing security department. Was arrested on March 1961 as suspected spy for the Soviets, was found guilty and condemned for 10 years in prison, he appealed and was sent to 15 years in prison. Died in prison of a heart attack in May 1966.
