1. Sketch for "Jaffa Oranges". Ink and watercolor on thin paper. Signed in upper right corner: "Uriel". At the top of the leaf is an illustration of an orange crate alongside the word "Pardes". At the bottom are the words "Palestine" and "Oranges". In the catalogue "The Last of a Generation: Uriel Kahana - Architect, Painter, Designer" (Tel Aviv, 2003), the illustration is described as a poster for "Jaffa Oranges". [1] leaf, 29 cm, mounted at all four corners on an additional leaf. Good condition. Creases. Stains and small tears to margins.
2. Sketch for the French cosmetics company Houbigant (advertisement for a lipstick produced by the company). Pencils on thin paper. [1] leaf, 29 cm. Good-fair condition. Folding marks and creases. Stains. Tears to margins.

The booklet cover is detached and torn in the spine (the front and back covers are almost completely detached from each other). Light stains to cover.
2-12. Eleven trial prints of illustrations for "The Miller, the Milleress and the Millstones"; numbered in the bottom right corner.
Leaves in different sizes, approx. 9.5X12.5 cm to 11X18 cm (one leaf is 4X7 cm; cut around the print). Good overall condition. Creases. Small tears to margins of some of the leaves. Stains, mostly to trial print of the title page illustration.

1-24. Twenty four drawings and sketches for illustrations for the book "Four Billy Goats".
Most illustrations are final, as they appeared in print, but alongside are some alternative illustrations which were eventually not printed. Enclosed are two cut illustrations (not completed).
Size varies. Good overall condition. Some creases at margins. Pasting marks to some. Holes, inscriptions and markings in pencil, from preparations for print.
25-27. Three sketches for the cover of the book "Four Billy Goats".
The sketches for the cover present three design stages: the first sketch portrays elements which were omitted from the final version (for example: the digit "4", position of the title, and a square with four circles which was finally substituted by four dots and four lines); on the back appears a pencil sketch for an illustration of a wolf; the second, a sketch for the final version of the cover, in black only - parts supposed to be printed in red appear in pencil; the third - final sketch, in black and red, includes comments for the printer (which parts have to be printed in red).
One 17X18 cm sketch, good condition. Tears at margins. Brown-yellowish paper. Two sketches on sheets of approx. 25X30 cm. Good condition. Folding marks. Creases and tears at margins. One of them on brown-yellowish paper.
28-34. Seven early sketches for illustrations for the book "Four Billy Goats".
Early pencil sketches of the goats, the wolf and the urban scene. A number of sketches are two-sided.

1. A booklet which constitutes a (final) draft for the book "Four Billy Goats". Pieces of paper with the story's final text are pasted on the leaves (first typewritten, and then - over them - cuttings with the text from the press typesetting), together with the illustrations (pasted on their final spot). Next to the text and illustrations are comments, corrections and markings in pencil - location of the press blocks, illustrations and the lines of the text.
The pages in the booklet are numbered 1-18, and it does not include the last two pages of the story.
18 pp, 21.5X26 cm. Fair condition. Brown-yellowish paper. Numerous stains resulting from use of glue. Many pieces of paper (text and illustrations) are detached. Creases and tears, mainly at margins.
2-18. Seventeen proof prints of illustrations for the book "Four Billy Goats" and the series "Zil Zlil". Printed on thin brown-yellowish paper, cut at the margins.
Size varies. Good overall condition. Some creases at margins. Gluing marks to some.
19-20. Two proof prints for the cover of the book "Four Billy Goats".
Approx. 20X26.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Slight creases and tears at margins. Cut pieces (according to markings from the printing press).
