Family photograph, David Ben-Gurion, attached to a round metal base. Poland. Early 20th Century.
Names of the photographed persons are written on the photograph: Michael, David, Dvora, Rivka; and an unidentified person. Ben-Gurion was born in 1886, came to Palestine in 1906, at the age of 20.
The photograph was taken before his Aliya, it is unknown and was never published.
Diameter: 15 cm.
Fair condition. Photograph is faded. Fractures and cracks with pieces missing.

18 photographs of the Tel-Aviv Port, some of them dated — 1936. 12 are signed in pen on the front and tamped on the back “Photo Tila”; panoramic photo by Zoltan Kluger signed on the back with a stamp; five are not signed, but include a printed description of the photograph: “Building of the Boat Port in Tel-Aviv…” and dated — December 1936; single page, official stationery of the Tel Aviv Committee for the Port and transport, with the secretary’s signature.

Ten are signed on the back with the ink stamp “Arushkes Photography, Tel-Aviv, Jaffa.” Rare photographs of the work of laying the Kfar Yehezkel road, building the terraces in Kiryat Anavim, tanning works in Ein-Harod, and other photographs from Geva, Kfar Malal, Kinneret, Deganya, Nordia, Ben Shemen, and the Borochov neighborhood. Some have descriptions on the back.

Advertisement for upcoming release of book named "The Beauty of the Holy Land", which includes 300 photographs of Palestine and environs, taken by Shmuel Yosef Shweig, member of London's Royal Association of Photographers. London, early 1930s.
Two photographs by Shweig appear on advertisement: one of Zion Gate, and one of palm trees in Jaffa.
Based on this advertisement, 105 numbered copies of six fine volumes were supposed to be published, with Morocco leather binding. However, they were never published.
Photographs – 16x11.5 cm, whole advertisement – 31.5 cm.
Very good condition. Cover is worn and faded, with tears at margins.
