Two letters by David Ben-Gurion to the poet and children’s writer Anda Amir-Pinkerfeld. January 1952: “…Among the few treasures that I will keep regardless of what happens to me – are your short letter and attached poem.” November 1953: “… Man must hear the voice of God talking to him and to his heart – if his heart is not coarse and his ears are not sealed. More than this he cannot do.”
Both are typed on official stationery and signed by hand, one has the original official envelope attached.

"Shikaron", a poem of five verses in handwriting of the poet Alexander Penn (1906-1972); signed. Probably rough draft for a three-verse poem also entitled "Shikaron", which he wrote in 1930. (See Volume I, page 92 of "The Poems", Alexander Penn).
As indicated by its name, the poem bears the character of a wine-poem, against the backdrop of the city Tel Aviv ("The city drowses like a cat…"). The cafés Chermon and Sheleg Levanon are mentioned in it.
Single page, 26.5x17.5 cm.
Good condition; creases and folding lines. The back has adheive tape for re-enforcement, as there are tears on the folding lines – not causing omission to text.
