Rabbi Avraham David HaKohen Av Beit Din of Lutomiersk, author of Rosh Yosef on laws of Treifot [food ritually unfit for eating] (Warsaw 1876). Among well-known students of Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk.

On the title page is an ancient signature of Rabbi "Avi'ezri Zelig Auerbach" (1724-1768), disciple of Rabbi Yehonatan Eibeshitz, son of Rabbi Zvi Hirsh Rabbi of Worms and father of Rabbi Avraham Auerbach Rabbi of Bonn. Although he died at the young age of 42, he was notorious as one of the foremost Torah scholars of his generation. See attached material.

Commentary on Nevi'im Rishonim, written by Rabbi Don Yitzchak Abarbanel. With the addition of the Rif's novellae [by Rabbi Ya'akov Pidanki]. Hamburg. 1687.
On the title page is the signature of "Ya'akov Berlin of Mir" and stamps of his son Rabbi "Naftali Zvi Yehuda Berlin Rabbi of Volozhin".
Rabbi Ya'akov Berlin of Mir (1794-1870), father of the Netziv of Volozhin and son-in-law of the author of Aruch HaShulchan was a wealthy merchant and an outstanding Torah scholar, an influential leader of the Mir community. Ascended to Jerusalem in 1852, and was one of the heads of the Ashkenasi community in Jerusalem. (His history and righteousness are chronicled at length in the book Mekor Baruch by his grandson Rabbi Baruch Epstein).
His son Rabbi Naftali Zvi Yehuda Berlin – The Netziv (1817-1893), a foremost Torah giant of his generation, son-in-law of Rabbi Yitzchak of Volozhin who succeeded him in heading the Volozhin Yeshiva for decades. Wrote many books: Ha'amek She'ela novellae in the She'iltot; Ha'amek Davar on the Torah; Meshiv Davar responsa, novellae on the Talmud and commentary on the Midreshei Halacha: Mechilta, Sifrei and Sifra. Father of Rabbi Chaim Berlin and father-in-law of Rabbi Refael Shapira. Rabbi Chaim HaLevi Soloveichik of Brisk is his son-in-law's son-in-law.

Ancient ownership signatures: Autograph of Rabbi “Amram Greenwald” and signatures of his son Rabbi “Moshe Greenwald Av Beit Din of Khust and region” and his grandson Rabbi “Avraham Yosef Greenwald Av Beit Din of Ungvar” as well as additional ownership signatures.
The Ga’on Rabbi Amram Greenwald (1831-1870) among the prominent disciples of the Ktav Sofer and the Maharam Ash. Already at a young age he was offered a positions in the rabbinate in large and prominent cities (Munkacz and others), however, he refused to accept a rabbinical position. Passed away before the age of 40. His son, the famous Ga’on Rabbi Moshe Ben-Amram Greenwarld, author of Arugat Bosem (1853-1910), was among the leading rabbis and Rashei Yeshivot of Hungary, served in the rabbinate of several congregations and from 1893 served as Av Beit Din of Khust. Many rabbis of Hungary were disciples of his. His grandson, the Ga’on Rabbi Avraham Yosef Greenwald (1878-1928) succeeded his father in the Khust rabbinate and from there moved to serve in the Ungvar rabbinate.

Ga’on Rabbi Yechezkel Bennett (1861-1913), son of Rabbi Gershon Wolf and son of daughter of Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried author of Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. Son-in-law of Ga’on Rabbi Avraham Glick Av Beit Din of Toltshva. In 1884 was appointed Dayan in Toltshva and in 1889 served as Av Beit Din of Seini where he established a prominent Yeshiva; many rabbis of his generation were his disciples.

Among founders of Gateshead Kollel and established Torah institutes throughout England. In his later years served as Mashgiach of Ponevezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. His profound discussions based on ethics, Kabbalah and Chassidism were printed by his disciples in the book Sichot U'Ma'amarim, in the five volumes of Michtav Me'Eliyahu and in Sefer Zikaron Michtav Me'Eliyahu.
