Me'orot HaGedolim, on the 613 mitzvot hinted to in the Ten Commandments. Rebbe Yitzchak Isaac Rosenbaum of Suszka. [Bucharest], 1947.
A poetic composition composed from the letters of the Ten Commandments. Each letter of the Ten Commandments is used as an acronym for a word which represents one of the 613 mitzvot. Accompanied with the commentary “Torah Or” which explains which mitzvah in hinted to by each word [similar to the idea of the book “Keter Torah” by Rabbi David Vital. [See Item 204].
Rebbe Yitzchak Isaac Rosenbaum of Suszka (1906-2000), son of Rebbe Itamar of Nadvorna, after his marriage was appointed rabbi of Suszka near Chernovtsy (where his father served as rabbi at that time). Afterward, he moved to Vaşcău, where he began serving as Rebbe. Miraculously survived the Holocaust, in 1947 immigrated to the USA. After his father's death in 1973, immigrated to Israel to serve in his stead. He printed this book quickly before he left Romania, on the title page he signs "Av Beit Din of Suszka and formerly of Vaşcău (Bukovina) and in the Diaspora in Berszinest(Transnistria) and now in Bucharest (Romania) on the way to the USA (America).
Printed cover. [4], 16, [6] pages. 19.5 cm. Good condition, stains. Tears to cover and several leaves.
The last leaf is not listed in the Bibliography Institute. Signatures and the future address of the Rebbe in New York appear in the book.
