Etching: “Picture of the wholesome wise leader and mentor, Reverend Solomon, son of the great Rabbi Tzvi. Chief Rabbi of the German and Polish Jews in England. Lineage of Rabbi Heschel and the Chacam Tzvi” [London, 1824].
The Rev. Rabbi Solomon Hirschell-Berlin Av Beit Din of Prenzlau (Poland) and London, son of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Av Beit Din of Berlin and nephew of Rabbi Shaul Av Beit Din of Amsterdam. Succeeded his father as rabbi of Ashkenazi congregation of London, England from 1802 until his death in 1842. All of his descendants married into families of utmost distinguished lineage and relocated to Poland in accordance with his concealed instruction that they not reside in England (Klilat Yofi, pp. 134-135).

Photograph of Rabbi Akiva Sofer (1878-1960), visiting Kaiser Franz Joseph in Pressburg (Bratislava) in 1913.
In the photograph, the Kaiser is sitting in his carriage next to his wife, and Rabbi Akiva Sofer who served at that time as Rabbi of Pressburg, approaches to greet them in the name of the Jewish community. Crowds of people crowd the sides of the road.
14X9 cm, divided as a postcard. Good condition, minor wear.

“Photograph of the Ga’on Rabbi Pinchas son of the Ga’on Rabbi Eliyahu Shick – passed away on 22nd of Sivan 1903 in Kobrin”.
The Ga’on Rabbi Pinchas Shick (Otzar HaRabbanim 16966), son of the Ga’on Rabbi Eliyahu Shick author of Ein Eliyahu. Among well-known righteous individuals of Lithuania. Following the demise of his father, the Kobrin community, with the recommendation of the Maharil Diskin, decided to appoint him as rabbi in place of his father. However, with great humility he refused and instead served as Halachic authority of the congregation for approximately thirty years until his demise. Many Torah sayings in his name are presented in compositions of his father [for additional information related to him see attached material].

Three original negatives, of the wedding of the only daughter of the rebbe, author of Minchat Eliezer in Munkatch, March 15, 1933. In the photographs, the Minchat Eliezer is seen arriving with the bridegroom in an open royal carriage. A photograph of the square where the royal chupah took place in its glory and a close-up photograph of the chupah. (To our knowledge, these photographs are unknown today).
The bridegroom is Rabbi Baruch Yehoshua Yerachmiel Rabinowitz (1915-1998) son of Rebbi Nathan David of Pertziva (Poland) descendant of the Biala Rebbes. This wedding was documented in the newspapers as the largest Jewish wedding of those times. The borders were opened, and special train lines transported Jews from throughout Hungary to Munkatch. Dozens of media came to this historic wedding from all over the world. (See Encyclopedia L'Chasidut, Volume 3, 909-910 and attached material).

The Gur Rebbe, the Imrei Emet and the Rebbe of Alexander are seen in the photograph (sitting together in the second row), the Rebbe of Sadigura, Rabbi Yehuda Leib Tzirlson of Kishinev, Rabbi Rosenheim etc.
Divided like a postcard, on reverse side are several rows in German with the date Aug. 17, 1937 (10th of Elul 1937), sent by post to Dr. Avraham Schiff of Berlin.
Enclosed is an official envelope, with the inscription Agudat Yisrael Convention in Hebrew, German and Czech, and a picture of the hotel where the event took place. Sent by post, with Czech postage stamps and special stamps of the Third Agudat Yisrael Convention.

Printed on a divided postcard with the photographer's stamp from the city of Lublin and handwritten inscription: "Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin Pietrekov". Inscription in a different handwriting: "This is a photograph of the removal of the bed with the Holy Ark of our Rabbi from the hall of the holy yeshiva".

The Ga’on Rabbi Ya’akov Koppel Reich (1838-1929, Otzar HaRabbanim 10321), disciple of the Ktav Sofer, among the greatest rabbis of Hungary and among the leaders of Orthodox Jewry. Began serving in the rabbinate in 1859. From 1890 was Av Beit Din of Budapest. Also served as representative in the Senate of the Austro-Hungarian kingdom and as adviser to King Franz Joseph.
