Leaf of introduction signed by Agam and numbered, 22/27 AP. The first and last prints are signed by Agam, as well. "All of the separation of colors was done by the artist, all the print screens used for each print were destroyed".

Cover design by Chagall especially for this edition. Handwritten dedication on full page, for Dr. Norbert Moschytz, about his contribution to the Jewish community of Wֳ¼rttemberg-Hohenzollern (West Germany). Enclosed are paper clippings with articles about Chagall. 35.5 cm. Very good condition. Minor damage to cover edges. Celluloid cover slightly torn.

High quality reproductions of illustrations by the artist Ben Ben-Zion for 62 psalms and verses from the Bible. Each reproduction was printed on a separate sheet, folded, with a special title page. Copy no. 717 from an edition of 2,000 copies. The artist Ben (1905-1989) was born in Bialystok. In 1930, he moved to study art in Paris, where he acquired his art name. He was in hiding throughout the Holocaust years. After the Holocaust, his creations were often inspired by the Bible. High quality paper sheets, unbound, in original cardboard box, 46 cm. Very good condition. Slight foxing.

The sixth volume of the Bible edition illustrated by Ephraim Moshe Lilien, including Psalms, Book of Lamentations and Song of Songs. Preceding the title-page appears a long dedication handwritten by Lilien to his wife, with a long quotation from the book of Psalms (appearing in the book presented here on page 48) with his signature "Efra", as Lilien used to sign his letters to his wife. On the inner side of the front cover is an ex-libris label of Helene Lilien - "Mein Kind, Mein Buch" [My Child, My Book] - an original etching by E.M. Lilien. 328 pp, 25.5 cm. Good condition. Minor damages to binding.

Forst was born in Vienna in 1904. Studied in Kunstakademie - Academy of Arts in Vienna. In 1939 he left for Hamburg and then continued to the U.S. where he devoted himself to letter-design and calligraphy. He published an illustrated Haggada for Passover, illustrated a children's book (using his Hebrew name, Asher Forst), created woodcuts and was very involved in the Jewish traditions and festivals. An exhibition of his works was displayed in Yeshiva University in 1997. Attached: Siegmund Forst - a Lifetime in Arts and Letters, publication of Yeshiva University Museum, 1997. Various sizes. Good condition.
