Ink-stamps with the address of the Admor before the Holocaust"Simcha Bunim Alter, Warsaw, Sosnowa 8" appear on the binding leaves and his hand signature in English letters"B. Alter, Sosonowa N.8".
The holy Gaon Rabbi Simcha Bunim Alter (1888-1992), son of the"Divrei Emet" of Gur, moved to Warsaw after his wedding, invested himself in Torah while wisely hiding his righteous ways, outstanding Torah genius who had extensive knowledge of the Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi. When his father passed away in 1948, some of the Hasidim wanted to crown him as their next Admor, but he fled the country so his younger brother, author of the"Beit Israel" could receive that honor. He became Admor of the Gerer Hasidim in 1977 and his 15 years of leadership marked a turning point for the Gerer Hasidut through the establishment of many Yeshivot and Hasidic districts. Set numerous regulations for the reinforcement of Torah learning and Tzniut. His only son is the current Gerer Admor Shlita.

First two books contain signatures of Rabbi Ovadia Hadaya, and last two books contain signatures of his father Rabbi Shalom Hadaya. [Binding leaves of one of books contain version of confession of the Chida, in Sephardic handwriting].
The Kabbalist Rabbi Shalom Hadaya [1862-1945, Otzar HaRabbanim 18135) was among the Torah scholars of Aleppo and chief Kabbalist in Jerusalem; from 1927 served as dean of the kabbalist Yeshiva in Beit Kel and from 1930 served as Av Beit Din of Jerusalem. His compositions include: Seh L'Beit Avot, Shalom L'Am and Dover Shalom.
His son, the Kabbalist Rabbi Ovadia Hadaya (1890-1969, Otzar HaRabbanim 16544). Among the directors of Yeshivat Porat Yosef. Served as chief rabbi and Av Beit Din of Petach Tikva. Member of the Beit Din HaGadol in Jerusalem. Founder of the Beit Kel Yeshiva for Kabbalists in the new city. Author of Yaskil Avdi Responsa - 8 sections, and additional books on the revealed and concealed facets of Torah.

Two cut off glosses in ancient Ashkenazi handwriting. Handwritten signature:"Ya'akov Katzin" - apparently, the Kabbalist Rabbi Ya'akov Katzin (1900-1995, Otzar HaRabbanim 9901), sixth generation in the rabbinate of the Katzin Aram Tzova dynasty and son-in-law of the Ga'on Rabbi Shalom Hadaya. Founded and headed the Gan HaLevanon Yeshiva in Jerusalem. Major part of his life served as rabbi of the Halab congregation in New York. Authored many compositions in the revealed and concealed facets of Torah; among those printed: Or HaLevana, Pri Etz HaGan and others.

Rabbi Chaim Yehudah Leib Auerbach (1887-1954, Otzar HaRabbanim 6334), Hassid and Kabbalist, son of the righteous Rabbi Avraham Dov Auerbach grandson of the Rebbe Rabbi Avraham Dov Auerbach Av Beit Din of Chamelnik, son-in-law of author of Toldot Ya'akov Yosef), among the greatest scholars of Jerusalem, Rosh Yeshiva of the Sha'ar HaShamayim Yeshiva of Kabbalah. On protective leaf of the first book, signature of Hillel Pollack. Rabbi Hillel Pollack (1810-1893, HaChatam Sofer V'Talmidav, pages 124-126), a disciple of the Chatam Sofer, who called him and his relative and friend "Kodesh Hillulim LaHashem". He was rabbi of Szֳ szrֳ©gen (Hungary) from 1866 until his death.
All the books have glosses handwritten by his grandson Rabbi Yisrael Freund, who also served in the Szֳ szrֳ©gen rabbinate, disciple of the author of Ktav Sofer and Rabbi Moshe Zvi Fuchs author of Yad Rama, and a prominent rabbi in Hungary. He together with his community were murdered in the Holocaust in 1944. While in Auschwitz, he delivered a testament to his son to print his writings.
In this book Yad Rama authored by his teacher Rabbi M. Z. Fuchs, Rabbi Freund writes his comments in awe and self-depreciation before his teacher: "I beg forgiveness from my Master, my Rebbe and I am dust under his feet but what shall I do since I did not understand his words¦ ". His stamp is in the second book.
Both books have signatures, and all books have stamps and glosses, from his son Rabbi David Yehuda Freund (died 1985), son in law of Rabbi Yechezkel Panet, Rabbi in Batiz, later his father's "assistant rabbi" in Szֳ szrֳ©gen and after that Rabbi of Kehilat Yerai'im in Bucharest. He survived the Holocaust, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and served as rabbi in Netanya and afterwards in Jerusalem. He authored Alufei Yehuda.
