The title page displays signatures and ink stamps of owners: "Moshe HaCohen of Biala". "E. D. R." [Probably Rabbi Eliyahu David Rabinowitz – the Aderet, 1845-1905, Av Bet Din Ponivezh, Mir and Jerusalem].
Rabbi Nissim Shlomo Algazi (1610-1683, Otzar HaRabbanim 18350), exceptional genius, orator and prolific author. Of the great sages of Izmir, he came to Jerusalem to escape the persecutions of the followers of Shabtai Zvi for his opposition to their leader.

Owner’s signatures on the title page: “The Holy Elazar Lazi from Berlin”. “I bought this from my late father property, Izik Berlin”.
The great Rabbi Elazar Lazi (1841-1914) was born in Berlin. He was among the greatest Torah scholars of his generation. Served as Dayan in the Rabbinical court of Rabbi Refael Ha-Cohen in Hamburg. Served as the Chief Rabbi of the Altona, Hamburg and Wandsbek communities since 1899. Authored the “Mishnat Rabbi Eliezer” and kept a correspondence with the “Chatam Sofer” (Ishim Be-Teshuvot Chatam Sofer, page 78). More about him in enclosed material.
His son, Rabbi Izik Berlin from Hamburg, was a great and rigorous Torah scholar.

Ink-stamps of Rebbe Shimon Natan Neta Biderman. Inscription "Avraham Biderman", two glosses in pencil, and the writing: "novellae and glosses AS"B" [Rebbe Avraham Shlomo Biderman, see about him: Encyclopedia of Chasidut, 3, page 894], and one gloss in ink.

Signed in his handwriting (in pencil) on the cardboard cover: "Menachem Mendel Rabbi of Visha".
After the death of the Rebbe of Vizhnitz, author of Ohev Yisrael, his library was distributed amongst his sons, this book fell into the possession of his son Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Byshev (Vishava). On the Vorzats page written in pen: "The portion of Rabbi Menachem Mendel". Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager – The Rebbe of Byshev (1885-1941, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, Part 3, pages 95-96), son of the Ahavat Yisrael of Vizhnitz. From 1908, he served as Rabbi of Vizhnitz and from 1921, as Rabbi of Byshev, where he established the Beit Yisrael Yeshiva. One of the leaders of Agudat Yisrael and a member of Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah.
