Draft of a proclamation, signed by four prominent rebbes in Bnei Brak, Rebbe Moshe Yehoshua Hager of Vizhnitz, Rebbe Avraham Yehoshua Heshel Twersky of Machnovka, Rebbe Chaim Mordechai Rosenbaum of Nadvorna and Rebbe Moshe Mordechai Biederman of Lelov. [Bnei Brak], 25th Cheshvan 1975.
Typewritten leaf, hand-signed by the rebbes. The rebbes condemn the decision to discontinue government funding of R. Landau's rabbinical system, which was independent from the religious council. This step represented a new level in the decades-long struggle with political and governmental bodies who opposed the R. Landau's independent rabbinate.
[1] leaf. Approx. 27.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Folding marks. Minor marginal tears and torn filing holes.

Draft of a proclamation, signed by four rabbis of Bnei Brak, calling to participate in public Shabbat prayers in protest against attempts to undermine the authority of R. Yaakov Landau, rabbi of the city. [Bnei Brak, ca. Av 1974].
Typewritten leaf, hand-signed by four rabbis. The rabbis condemn an appeal to a secular court against R. Landau, who conditioned kashrut certification for one of the reception halls in the city with its conforming with the laws of modesty. The rabbis call for all synagogues in Bnei Brak to be closed on Shabbat morning Parashat Ekev, and the prayers to take place on the streets of Bnei Brak.
Signed by: R. Avraham Shlomo Katz, rabbi of the Yitav Lev community in Bnei Brak; R. Avraham Tzvi Weiss, rabbi of Neveh Achiezer; R. Yitzchak Tzvi Bernfeld, rabbi of Chug Chatam Sofer; R. Natan Gestetner, rabbi of Shikun Agudath Yisrael.
The names of R. Wosner and R. Unger are noted near the signatures, and they presumably signed a different copy of the draft (the final printed proclamation posted on the streets bore eight signatures).
[1] leaf. 33 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains (and printing stains). Wear and folding marks.
