Depict various scenes from the Chanuka story: a wedding, a boy refusing to bow; Elazar stabbing Antiochus's elephant, Matityahu, the Holy Ark and Menorah, Cohanim with lulavs in Beit HaMikdash, bringing Bikkurim (first fruits), Maccabites, Antiochus, the Cohen Gadol lighting the Menorah, weapons and more.
Enclosed is the book (in fair condition) with handwritten notes relating to the original drawings.

One shows a Jew wrapped in a talit with his eyes closed and he is floating among the clouds, with a drawing of a Magen David; another shows a man with boxing gloves, with a brimmed hat and cigar, burning a $10,000 note; and a third shows a man smoking a cigar with the caption “half Yiddish” in Hebrew. One of the sketches has a caption in French, another in Latin.

HaLevi made Aliya from Russia in 1906, worked in sowing, gardening and cultivation of plant species, one of the first painters of the vegetation of Eretz Israel and its views.
