Photo-Bilder des XIV. Zionistenkongresses. Herrn… Dr. Leopold Plaschkes uberreicht vom Kongressburo [photo album of the 14th Zionist Congress. For Dr. Leopold Plaschkes]. Album with sixteen photographs, from the 14th Zionist Congress which convened in the Wiener Konzerthaus, Vienna, [1925]. German.
Album presented as a gift to Dr. Leopold (Aryeh) Plaschkes from Vienna, member of the Zionist Movement, who was one of the organizers of the 14th Zionist Congress in Vienna. Portrayed in the album are the building where the congress was held, Dr. Nathan Michael Gelber (head of the office that organized the congress), Fritz Ullman, (general secretary), secretarial team, the executive board, the congress hall during plenary, Chaim Weizmann and other Zionist leaders in the congress hall, Nahum Sokolow visiting the Palestine Exhibition (Palastina Ausstellung) and other photographs of the exhibition halls, a sports and training field, and a group photograph of Maccabi Tel Aviv sportsmen.
Photographs: 18X24 cm. Good overall condition. Slightly faded at margins. Inserted in designated slots in the album consisting of thick leaves, 26X33 cm. Creases, tears and wear at margins of leaves. First page (with dedication) is faded and worn.

"Commemorating the first convention of Brit-Trumpeldor in Poland, 21.VII-28.VII 1930", album of photographs. Warsaw, 1930.
Seventeen photographs in an album (mounted on the album leaves), recording the members of Betar in a national convention in Poland. Among others, the photographs depict military parades, tent camps, field kitchen and other activities. On the front cover appears a gilt embossing of the title with Stars of David, and on the first leaf appears a handwritten dedication to "Mr. Blilovsky" dated 27.10.30. Warsaw.

11 photographs and cloth badges which belonged to a "Maccabi" Vilnius football player. Vilnius and Palestine, 1930s.
1. A printed cloth badge with the emblem of "Maccabi" - discus thrower surrounded by a wreath of leaves, inscribed "Maccabi" with three pointed edges resembling a Star of David. 4.5X6 cm.
2. Photo-montage, designed as the "Maccabi" emblem (see above), in which the owner of the photographs is seen holding a tennis racket and throwing a discus. 12X9 cm.
3. Photo-Montage of "Maccabi" Vilnius football players during training, 1934. 8X11.5 cm.
4-11. Eight group photographs of "Maccabi" Vilnius football team, during games and practices. Approx. 6.5X6.5 cm to 9X14 cm.
Enclosed: two albums which belonged to the aforementioned "Maccabi" player with about 135 photographs, most of them taken in Poland during the 1930s, many of them are family photographs, group photographs or photographs with friends; several photographs were taken in Palestine in the 1930s.

Embroidered flag and two photographs documenting the farewell ceremony of the Shimon group in the Bar Giorah Movement, on the occasion of the group members' immigration to Palestine. Pruszków, Poland, 1920s.
1. Cloth flag. Embroidered in the center is an inscription in white cotton thread, in the shape of a circle: "Shimon group, Bar Giorah... in Pruszków. Founded 13 Sivan 1916" (Hebrew).
25X35 cm. Fair condition. Numerous stains. Folding marks and creases. Holes and tears to right margin, where the flag was attached to a handle. Clear dedication in good condition.
2-3. Two photographs (divided on reverse to be used as a postcard) documenting the farewell ceremony of the Shimon group. One of the photographs shows the group members holding a sign that reads "In memory of the journey to Palestine of the Shimon group…"; both photographs show Bar Giorah members holding embroidered cloth flags like the one described above.

Alliance Israélite Universelle. Album presented as a gift to friends of Alliance Israélite Universelle ("Alliance") to commemorate 50 years of the official recognition in the educational institutes of the organization, Baghdad. 1932. French and some Arabic.
Album with 66 photographs dedicated to the educational institutes of Alliance Israélite Universelle in Baghdad. The photographs, mounted on the album leaves, portray key figures in the Baghdadi Jewish community, group photographs from the various educational institutes ("Sassoon" and "Nuriel" schools for boys and "Lora Kaduri" and "Noam" schools for girls), and are accompanied by detailed captions in French. A dedication and the ink-stamp of "Lora Kaduri" school in Baghdad appear on the title page, dated June 1932 (date of issue of the album).
