Poetry booklet by Rahel Lipstein. The booklet - cover, illustrations, and text - consists of colorful linocuts by Dina Matus. Numbered by hand (no. 26) and signed by Rahel Lipstein.
Dina Matus (ca. 1895-1940), painter and set designer, born in Lodz; a member of the "Yung-Yiddish" group. The circumstances and date of her death are unknown. Apparently, she died in the Lodz Ghetto.
[16] pp, 23 cm. Good-fair condition. Small tears to leaf margins. All the leaves are repaired on their left margin. Hard binding, onto which the original cover is pasted.

Stories by Yitzhak (Itzik) Kipnis (1896-1974) - children's author, Yiddish poet and Jewish-Ukrainian translator. Accompanying the stories are thirteen black-and-white illustrations by Kultur-Lige artist Sarah Shor (1897-1981). The booklet's cover was also designed by Shor.
37, [2] pp, 21.5 cm. Pages 13-28 are bound upside-down. Fair-good condition. Hard binding, pasted with the original cover (open tears, with damage to illustration on front cover). Detached binding. Some stains to body text. Library stamps.
