Second printed composition of the Ga’on Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky. First composition, Kiryat Melech, contains notations and comments on the Rambam, appendix to the Rambam’s Mishneh Torah, Pardes Publishing House, Jerusalem 1958. This pamphlet, containing notations on introduction of the Rambam was originally composed as part of Kiryat Melech, however for reasons stated in author’s introduction was printed separately.
Title page contains heartfelt inscription in handwriting and signature of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky: “Av 1960, gift to exceptional Bar Mitzvah young man, Mr. Avraham Dov son of Rabbi Raphael Levine; may you merit to earnestly study the Torah for the glory of your family. Chaim Kanievsky”.

On the book's title page is a self-dedication in Rashi script by Rabbi Chaim Sithon who writes that he received the book from the author's son. On the last leaf of the book is a rabbinical signature of Rabbi Chaim Sithon. Several corrections in his handwriting.

On the title pages of both volumes are signatures "I have bought it from tithes money Shalom Hadaya" and "Ezra Hadaya".
The Torah genius mekubal Rabbi Shalom Hadaya (1862-1945, Otzar HaRabbanim 18135), a Torah scholar from Aleppo and the "eldest of the mekubalim" in Jerusalem, from 1927 was head of the Beit El Yeshiva of Mekubalim and from 1930 Av Beit Din in Jerusalem. His works: Se L'Veit Avot, Shalom La'Am and Dover Shalom.
His son, Rabbi Ezra Hadaya (1910-1980), a Torah genius and tzaddik, first served as dayan in the Badatz of the Sefardi community of Jerusalem and as Rabbi of the Nachlaot neighborhood, later as Av Beit Din of Haifa until his death. Author of Nachalat Ezra responsa.
Two volumes, good-fair condition, stains, few moth marks. Tears to title page of one volume and to several leaves [restored with tape].
