Adam and Eve hiding behind a tree in the Garden, fabric appliqué made by the artist Kopel Gurwin. Israel, [second half of the 1960s].
Felt fabric appliqué. Stamped: "Kopel" (on the embroidery).
Adam and Eve hiding behind the tree of the Garden, with alarmed expressions on their faces. The figures are surrounded by the verse, "And they heard the voice of G-d traveling in the Garden… And Adam and his wife hid […] amongst the tree of the Garden". On the upper and lower edges are fabric loops, apparently for hanging as a curtain.
The artist Kopel Gurwin (1923-1990) was born in Vilna and had a Hebrew education. He endured the Holocaust years in concentration camps. After World War II, he moved to Sweden and lived there until 1950, thereafter he immigrated to Israel and began studying art in the Bezalel Academy. Concluded his studies in 1957, was renowned as a tapestry artist and graphic designer. His works were exhibited in the Israel Museum and in various galleries in Israel and abroad.

Six-branched memorial lamp, emblem of "Yad Vashem" - Holocaust Martyr's and Heroes' Remembrance Authority. Israel, [1960s].
Brass; wooden base, engraved.
Six-branched lamp. Designed in 1960 by the artist Zahara Schatz. The six branches represent the 6,000,000 Jews murdered in the Holocaust. Engraved on the wooden base is the inscription "And I have given them a hand and name which shall not be cut off" (Hand and Name in Hebrew is "Yad Vashem") and a serial number.
Height (including base): 41.5 cm. Size of base: 12.5X14 cm.

An official medal on behalf of the "Israeli Committee for Atomic Energy, The Negev Nuclear Research Center / a sign of appreciation for your five years of work in the NRC".
Engraved on the medal is the name of its recipient, "Mordechai Vanunu". The medal was presented to Vanunu in 1981, as a sign of appreciation for his work in the nuclear power plant as a radiation inspector.
Mordechai Vanunu (born in 1954), "Atom spy" – managed to smuggle a camera into the nuclear power plant in Dimona and delivered the photographs and data on Israel's nuclear ability to a British journslist, which enabled experts to determine that Israel owns a large number of nuclear bombs. Vanunu was kidnapped from London and brought to Israel, judged, convicted of treason and severe spying, and sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment.
Circumference: 6 cm. Good condition. Placed in a wooden box.
Provenance: Vanunu gave the medal to his friend, a man who belongs to the Church of England in Jerusalem.
